In 1996 Tamara Melon, Accessories Editor at British Vogue, approached Mr Jimmy Choo, a couture shoe maker based in East London recognized for his excellent craftsmanship, to start the ready-to-wear shoe company. Immediate success came amongst young Hollywood where Jimmy Choo became synonymous with the “red carpet”. Today, Jimmy Choo encompasses a complete luxury lifestyle accessory brand with women’s shoes, handbags, small leather goods, sunglasses and eyewear. The vision of the brand always included the development of fragrances which come to envelop a woman with the sensuality and essence of the brand. Sandra Choi, niece of Mr. Jimmy Choo, is now Creative Director and shares the vision to create one of the world’s most treasured luxury brands.
